Missing You

No time for a real post, but I wanted to say hello. Hopefully somebody noticed I haven't been around much the last several days (I have this recurring fear that I'll be kidnapped or something and nobody will notice until there aren't any clean dishes or clothes.) I am dealing with a bit of family drama, the return to my household of my youngest son (hurray!) and the start of school tomorrow. I am again woefully behind in blog-reading, and I'm missing my online friends. Tomorrow, after everybody leaves, I'm going to sit down with a cup of coffee and catch up with you all.

Have you ever noticed that, often, the person who suffers most from family drama is NOT the person who caused it? More evidence that life is not fair, I guess (as if we needed any!) but this, too shall pass.

I got a call for a job interview on Friday. It's a job I think I would really like, so I'm wavering between panic and excitement. I took a drive down to the building where the interview will be, so I will know where I'm going on Friday. Then I came home and tried on every single piece of clothing that I own. Then I balanced my checkbook to see if I could possibly afford to buy something new to wear. Then I tried on every piece of clothing I own again. Then I checked my roots to make sure the gray isn't showing, because who wants to hire an old hag? Then I went to Wal-Mart and picked up some hair color. Then I printed out my list of possible interview questions and answered them - out loud - to myself. Then I made a list of all the things I have to do, in order, before the interview (hair, nails, exfoliate, clean jewelry, lint removal - my clothes, not my belly button, in case you're wondering, although I may do both.)

Obsessive? I prefer to think of it as prepared - you know, like a Boy Scout.

Hey, I've missed you! And I know what you're talking about with the "kidnapped and nobody notices" thing, except mine is even a little more morbid yet! I have this fear that I'm going to die in my house and nobody will know it until it smells. I'd like to say "ha ha" but I REALLY do think about this occasionally because it COULD happen. AYE-YI-YI! :)

I can't wait for you to be back for reals! That family drama stuff...fun, huh? We have "one" who is a master of that type of thingf Finally, EVERYBODY figured out what she was doing, and NOBODY paid any more attention to any of it--and lots of it stopped! There's nothing better than stopping that crap in its tracks.

I can't wait for your interview...if you want the job, I hope you get it!

I'm thinking positive thoughts for Friday...and looking forward to more posts from you. Yes, you were missed in this household!
Drama? We be the queens of drama in there here house. I hate that it overflows on those not involved.
I try to quell it, but I am thinking perhaps that the drama queens here will have to get married and/or move out for that to stop. I am just happy I have my two rooms at the back of the house to close myself into! I wouldn't be missed until there were no clean dishes to eat off of...which would be by morning!

I think I would start worrying if I didn't see a Fri Frag post. Maybe the drama in your house will keep your mind off of your interview!? School starts in a week, there will be plenty of drama caused by nerves here!
Good luck Fri!!

I missed you. May your interview be fun and the job offer immediate :) Here's an interview question currently floating around: offer an example of a colleague not performing well and how you responded.

Very best of luck. We'll excuse you Friday fragments if you're too busy - so long as we know you are still alive and kicking.

All crossables crossed for Friday.

I missed you, but I figured you've just got stuff going on and would be back. We'd send Hallie to check for a smelly corpse if you were gone too long.

good luck Friday, go Kick some butt!!!

(and imagine the morbid Monday post Hallie would get if you were a smelly corpse...?)

Well, Corrine and I both miss you! Then again, we've not been blogging regular-like either, so if you and I were both kidnapped together and tied to that tree that had fallen in the woods, do you think anyone would know?

Hope the Fam Crisis is done with and your interview today is a success.

And yes, you WAY over-plan. Just wear a tight-fitting t-shirt that reads "When You Hire ME, You Get The Twins for Free"

No?

Just a thought.

You're so sweet; I loved your intro. I could relate, as I have been too crazy-busy to read blogs. ON the bright side, though, I know I'm going to LOVE my job this year. Can't wait. I hope we can soon swap happy stories about work!
