So many of you commented about my dog Bliss yesterday, I thought you might like to see her. Normally, her ears are up, like a shepherd's, but when she's 'talking to you' or wants to be petted, this is what she does. One of the other reasons I love her is that she's the gentlest dog I've ever known. She seems to have an innate ability to sense how to act around people. If you're a dog person, she'll be very playful with you, and will even jump up on you if invited. If you're not comfortable around dogs, or you're a child, she'll stop moving around, and stand very quietly for you to pet her. I always take Bliss with me to any demonstration we do, especially at schools. She tags along with me pretty much anywhere I go. She's my girl.

Can she come give my dogs some lessons? what a cutie.
Aw, she looks soooo sweet. Your comments reminded me of a special I saw on TV last night on 20/20, about Seigfried and Roy. The part about Roy's special connection to his animals and how his animals were bonded with him (a skill Seigfried didn't have) sounded like your relationship with Bliss. Isn't it wonderful feeling? I don't have dogs, but I just love my cats.
She is so beautiful, and I'd appreciate it if you would tell her that for me. I feel the same way about my cats; I love them both so much that sometimes when I'm gone, even I am shocked at how anxious I am to get back home to them. It's kind of funny--Frankie loves me, but he also loves napping by a heat source. Nancy, though--she's MY girl. For her, I AM the heat source :). Usually, she is where I am; if she was bigger and walked on two legs, we would be attached at the hip. We are girlfriends. :)
Give Bliss a hug for me when you tell her how beautiful she is...
ME, Now you've given one more reason to take a road trip to Maine: BLISS. She is absolutely gorgeous. Having a beloved pet really does wonders for the soul.
If you get a minute, read about MY sweet cuddle-muffin girl in these posts "Comfort & Joy" and "Christmas Kittens".
Meanwhile give Bliss a long loving pet from me.
Oh Bliss is gorgeous! Just look at that face. I am a huge dog lover, I can tell by her eyes that she is a huge human lover.
We are so lucky to have dogs in our life. What do people do who dont have them?

I am in love! Bliss looks like the sweetest dog ever. Her eyes show it all! You are lucky to have each other. She's beautiful!
awww, baby girl Bliss, she is precious. Love her already :) Aren't doggies the best thing in the world!?!?!?!?!
What a pretty puppy! She has very soulful eyes. :)
Ohhh, that's the soft eyes - i love you look - what a sweetheart.
And what a beautiful girl she is!
she's lovley.
I had a black mini-schnauzer named Sophie that was like Bliss in how she was with people. She would play and carry on with me and Carol's son Jeff, but when she would greet Carol, she would jump up on the back of the couch and wait quietly for Carol to pet her. She knew it was hard for Carol to bend over to pet her and that Carol didn't like her to be rambunctious with her. Soph died in an accident at home very unexpectedly at not yet 2 years old and it is still very difficult to write about her, even though it was 10 years ago last Christmas. Some dogs are just more special than others.
Thanks for this post, ME.

That's how my Sydney was--just an ambassador to the world.
We're getting a shepherd mix of some kind during the summer. I think I'll be ready by then--I sure do miss my old girl.
Oh, how sweet ! All the dogs we have had are my girls too...I know just how you feel LOL !
There is kindness in those canine eyes...sweet friend you have there.
