Illness: Nervous-mania
Symptoms: Stomach pain, headache, insomnia and general pissiness.
Treatment: Read blog comments; laugh and cry; repeat as necessary.
I really have nothing new to say today, except that your comments to me yesterday were exactly what I needed. It was like a Hallmark channel movie - I laughed, I cried. I was moved beyond words.
If anyone needs a laugh, go check out the fabulous advice given to me in yesterday's comment section. Or, if anyone needs proof that the people in blogland are the kindest, most supportive bunch of people in the world, check out the comments.
I think I just may take some of the advice (booze and/or chocolate are the frontrunners, as far as I'm concerned) and will definitely soak up the support. Knowing people will be there, whatever Friday holds, is extremely comforting.
Fortunately, I'm teaching a workshop today, so I'll be distracted for several hours. When I get home, I'll fix myself a stiff drink or a mug of hot chocolate and blog-surf. That ought to get me through one more day.
Only three days left.

I KNOW, I KNOW **waves hand wildly in air**!!! Have a mug of hot chocolate with a shot of peppermint schnapps. Voila! A Peppermint Patty! And then pick your nose and toes...but don't tell us about it, 'kay? BWAHAHAHA! I love Helen's poem in yesterday's comments.
See? Doncha kinda wish you would have started blogging sooner now? I mean, really, how did you get along before--without us? :)
Friday. Wow. I think I'm gonna need a giant Hershey bar and copious amounts of wine. I tend to get very involved with the goings-on of my friends. :)
ME...My prayers are lifted for your continued strength.
P.S. Chocolate Rice Cakes topped with Chocolate redi-whip and a strawberry is almost healthy!
Stay Strong!
Pray Hard!
~AirmanMom returning to her blog...
If you eat all this food people are telling you to eat, you are going to have even MORE of a stomach ache.
You're comment about my costume entry today was less than adequate. I plan to tell John that you did NOT ooh and ahh over his pic enough.
I know you are in a funk which excuses you to some extent but how could you NOT be way more impressed at the sheer cuteness of them all?
Have fun at your meeting. You're right down the street from me!!
Hallie :)
We are counting the day, M.E. We are almost as excited for you, as you are to find out.
Imagine, a few names on a piece of paper could be so important.
Imagine, the logic for keeping them a secret...
WE CAN'T WAIT!!!!
Kim-d beat me to it - I was going to say add some alcohol to that hot chocolate and you've covered all the bases!
It's coming... it's COMING!!!!! Yay!!!!! I can't believe how fast it got here... but I bet it feels like it's crawled and crawled for you.
MUCH BETTER second comment around. I think you have made up for your previous slight.
And as far as that animal print banana hammock? If you can get him to wear it, go for it!!
H ;)
crap, I am off work on Friday...i'll have to remember to check your blog specially!
Thanks for the kind remarks about my poetic efforts... I was trying to make it kind of Suess like, but it was fun. A lot of other people had some pretty good advice. I especially liked the massage idea myself. After all the revelry in celebrating Baby Jesus' birth, I could use a good massage myself.
Hang in, M.E.. You're almost there.
Helen
I am still thinking of you and the wealth of information you will hopefully receive Friday. Good luck and don't get too overwhelmed. Now I am off to think about Kim's drink combo, may have to try it.
Be sure to visit tomorrow and play the Robot Nine Picture Puzzle.
